Perl Developer English, Perl, MysQL OO, Linux, Apache -

Large international company with a strong online focus is looking for multiple Perl Developers. Please note: Permits can be arranged for candidates as long as experience is relevant (strong preference for candidates already in the EU or USA).

Key responsibilities would include:
1) designing and developing new generation secure, scalable and high performance web based systems taking into account diverse aspects such as migration possibilities,
2) leading projects and coaching/training new developers,
3) collaborating with IT Manager + Team Leaders to schedule technical priorities,
4) answering questions regarding our current systems,
5) solving problems/issues,
6) acting as an intermediary for complaints and problems.

Experience:
1) a BSc in Mathematics or IT,
2) at least 4 years experience as a software developer,
3) wide experience with Perl, MOD Perl and OO programming (preferably Perl),
4) experience with relational databases (preferably MYSQL),
5) excellent Datamodelling skills,
6) experience with Linux and Apache,
7) excellent English language skills.

Candidates must be living in the Netherlands or be prepared to relocate to the Amsterdam region.

Personality: pragmatic, pro-active and independent with excellent communication skills.

The team consists of 120 young and dynamic IT professionals and is likely to expand further in the future. They have a real passion for technology.
