Job Description

To be responsible for:

·         Improving DR’s search engine positioning through improved and tested website content; use of social media tools; implementation of pay per click advertising and all new technologies.

·         Maintaining computing environment by identifying system requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring system performance

Duties:

Search Engine Optimisation

·         Analyse the number of visitors to DR websites and activity on the site using analytics software

·         Report these statistics to the Company Directors

·         Make changes to DR websites to improve ranking on Google, Yahoo!, Ask, etc

·         Promote DR websites on blogs, forums and wikis

·         Work closely content contributors and editors

·         Understand issues surrounding user experience, accessibility and information architecture

Web Developer

·         Create develop DR’s future websites (public and internal) ensuring strong functionality

·         Design and develop relational database systems not facilitated in Itris and their web interfaces

·         Working closely with external design company for design of company web pages

·         Develop web page infrastructure

·         Assist the Company Directors in planning the overall company strategy regarding web development and search engine optimisation

·         Monitor web server and site technical performance.

·         Research competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases

Desktop Support

·         Establish system by planning and executing the selection, installation, and configuration of PC and server hardware, software and networks;

·         Prepare users by assisting with training programs; providing support

·         Upgrade systems by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software

General Duties

·         Accomplish DR goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

·         Provide feedback to Company Directors on perceived organisation performance and scope for improvements resulting from work undertaken as part of the above duties

·         Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations

Salary: £19,000 + £500 quarterly bonus based upon the successful delivery of web traffic.
