A very large magazine publisher in NYC is looking for several outstanding Front End Java/Web Software Developers with 5+years experience to compliment their team in building user-facing, rich media interactive websites!!!

Serious candidates must have a demonstrable understanding of Web platform coding standards and cross-browser development expertise. You will be working in a fun, friendly and dynamic environment, designing and implementing Web and mobile applications for their award winning world-famous Web sites.

Web CSS, XHTML, JavaScript, AJAX developer (full time in NYC)

Required Qualifications

·          Expert knowledge and solid working experience designing efficient, cross-browser user-facing websites. Solid experience in the different support levels of IE 6, 7, 8, Firefox and Safari.

·          Expert knowledge of CSS, XHTML, HTML, DOM, JavaScript & AJAX concepts.

·          Good working knowledge of RSS / JSON / REST principles.

·          Advanced JavaScript knowledge with JQuery or other JS toolkits: Prototype or Dojo.

·          Working knowledge of Flash, Photoshop and Illustrator.

·          Experience with JSP, JSTL, layout and decorator frameworks that integrate with Java such as Tiles and SiteMesh is a plus.

·          Experience with SEO, Ad Serving, Social Networking interfaces, Google Maps is strongly desired.

·          Experience with Dynamic Scripting languages, such as PHP, Perl, Ruby.

·          Extensive working experience Eclipse, Subversion, Maven, JUnit  (SDLC) in a Unix Environment
