Lead PHP Developer Urgently Required For UK's Multi Award Winning Media Agency - £50,000+
My client is an multi award winning advertising and digital media agency. My client success is the result of their intelligent, creative and energetic approach to promotion and education for the big names in healthcare and pharmaceuticals.
The position – My client are looking for an experienced Lead PHP Developer join their existing digital media team. You will have the ability to manage all aspects of the production servers, including planning, purchasing, installation, maintenance, monitoring and out-of-hours response and lead the technical design and development of new features. Initially, the Lead PHP Developer will manage 4 mid-level developers and other freelancers, and will be expected to code as well. You should be able to take a brief, develop technical solutions, write a tech spec and timeline (including resources required). The Development Team Leader must be able to communicate technical details to other (non-technical) members of the team as well as clients.
Essential skills:
• PHP5 (OO)
• MySQL and relational database design
• XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML/AJAX and XML
• Source control (we use Git but we're happy to cross-train)
• Server administration (mainly FreeBSD and some Linux)
Desirable skills:
• Experience with frameworks would be useful
• Experience with scalability issues
